Humankind, at its core, is not always the kindest of races. Human nature itself is conflicted, with the potential of both good and evil residing in the soul of each individual. More often than not, however, civilization will lean towards the side of peace, if not universal, then reasonably wide spread. It is in these eras, and those even more utopian, that an outside force will move in, taking the peace so carefully maintained and taint it with the purest evil they can muster.

In a time long before human recording, before the human race as we know it, there lay the Silver Millennium, a period of peace, advancement, and enlightenment. Lead by the Moon Kingdom and its queen, Serenity, this tranquil era was one in which the people of the planets in our solar system – for there was, in fact, life on the entities we know today as masses of rock and gas – interacted freely with one another, sharing ideas and cultures as all strove for a common goal: utopia. To say that there was no strife would be a lie; again, human nature is flawed, and even though their lives spanned centuries, the civilizations of this time were still
humans. Such disturbances, though, were no more than blemishes on the otherwise flawless skin of the human race, suggesting a peace we today wouldn’t even dare to dream of.
Such peace, though, will often have those seeking to destroy it. It happened that in this case that, a powerful evil called the Dark Kingdom was the antagonist, waging a seemingly endless war that resulted in the ruin of the Moon Kingdom and those around it. By the end of the chaos, there was no chance of repair to the human race; the Soldier of Ruin, Sailor Saturn, stepped in, wiping the slate clean and creating a blank canvas on which humanity could recreate itself.

The Earth of today is hardly the peaceful civilization of an era past remembrance. Wars between countries, petty jealousies, and self-fulfillment seem to be in fashion, however the age-old practices of friendship and kindness die hard, and are still very firmly in place. It is into this world that the most prominent figures of the Silver Millennium – less its queen – have been reborn, without any memories of the past they once had.
Instead, they have been awakened as Sailor Senshi, fighting against the evil that, once again, has reared its head. Though the Dark Kingdom’s intentions this time are not to take over the world, the toll their endeavors place upon humanity to achieve their
true goal – to free Queen Metaria, and to then make this world their own – is such that Sailors Moon, Mercury, Mars, Jupiter, and Venus have been left with no choice but to sacrifice a normal life in order to keep their world intact.

A new Silver Millennium has been instated by the Neo-Queen Serenity, in the Crystal Tokyo of the thirtieth century. Once again aided by the Silver Crystal, the new royalty has created a peace to rival that of eras past, where once again life seems endless and utopia seems imminent. The only major threat to this tranquility was banished by the queen long ago, to the barren planet of Nemesis and far from the Earth’s new order.
Unfortunately, banishment doesn’t seem to be as effective as it once was. With his Black Moon Clan in tow, “Wiseman” is back for reasons unknown, his forces systematically laying siege to the borders of Crystal Tokyo, looking for any give that they can use to take its core. Peace is again disrupted, slowly spreading seeds of doubt that a true utopia can ever be achieved.
