It was always somewhat of a boring afternoon whenever Haruka had to practice her racing skills. Not that the other girl needed to practice, necessarily, but it was demanded in her contract. Usually Michiru would follow along to cheer Haruka on, but she just wasn't feeling up to it today. That was the reason why she had ended up at Cafe Amigo with a cup of tea sitting in front of her. It was relaxing just to watch the civilians as they passed by, nothing in their mind but their destination. It was almost pitiful how single-minded some people could be. They got so caught up in their routines that half of them wouldn't even notice if an asteroid crashed into one of the surrounding buildings. Michiru circled her finger along the top of the tea cup, watching as people passed by on their way home from school or work. Steam rose in little curly cues from the surface of the liquid. Michiru blew lightly to cool it down before sipping carefully from the cup.
She placed it back down on the saucer carefully and glanced around the cafe. It was fairly empty today, something she particularly enjoyed. It was never pleasant when she couldn't hear herself think. She much preferred the isolation that came with the lull between meals. Michiru glanced at the sketchpad in front of her and picked up the pencil, adding a couple more lines. The sketch wasn't anything special, really, just a product of Michiru's boredom. It depicted a bouquet of roses in full bloom in a crystal vase. Still lifes typically bored Michiru, but roses were one of her favorite flowers and she was fairly fond of drawing them. She sat back to glance at what she had drawn, studying her work.
